INSTRUCTIONS: Write a very short piece of fiction. It should be less than 200 words. Post the piece as your proof, and send it to one other player.

Alistair and I were walking along the streets as we normally did on most nights. At one point we got separated. I'm not sure how it happened. I began to call his name, hoping he was somewhere within hearing distance, and I backtracked to where we had been before, trying to find him. It was hours before I finally gave up and went home. I was hoping nothing had happened to him, that he was at his house, safe and sound. But deep down I knew something had happened to him, something horrible. But I shoved that thought away as I went to sleep that night and went about my business during the day.

The next night, I went to his house as usual, but when I got there no one was home. That’s when I knew something dangerous was afoot. I ran back to the street that I had lost him and retraced my steps, calling his name once more. I did this for twenty odd minutes before I took a peak down an ally way and saw him. He was leaning against the stone wall, and his light brown hair had fallen over his eyes.

"Alistair!" I cried, and ran to his side. "Where have you been?!?"

"Hello, Red" He said in a voice smooth as silk that I had never heard from him before. He glanced over at me, his green eyes glinting a dangerous yellow. "I’ve been waiting for you". He advanced took a step closer to me, and I stumbled back.

"Wha...what happened to you?" I asked, my voice shaky. "You seem...different"

He smirked. "Oh, nothing really. I just gained immortality. Would you like me to share it with you?" He said, never losing that eerily calm tone to his voice, and grabbed my arm.

I remember just staring at him as he moved closer, eyes fixed on my neck, and then I blacked out.
