Utilikilt Challenge by Kitty Stryker

June 21st, 2007 6:37 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Create clothing or other item-to-wear that updates an ancient, traditional, or lost fashion to befit today's urbanite. Do aim for comfort.

A prime example being the utilikilt.

I considered what fashions from the past could be useful in this day and age, and what better than the ever-popular codpiece? Within this item lies a storage space for women, and it's a fashion accessory that is sure to grab the attention of those around her. What, you say? Women don't have the... equipment to put into a codpiece? Maybe not, but we DO have cell phones, pens, wallets, and other needs to stuff that codpiece instead.

The closed, glittery splendor of a woman's evening codpiece.

As you can see, the evening codpiece for women is a lovely way for a glamorous lady on the go to store her various necessities... like a fannypack but way, way cooler, and slightly less likely to get giggles from your British friends.

I like this, it's shiny and clever.

I ain't even gonna lie: if you give us a picture of someone actually wearing it and using it, I'm voting...

We want models!
