Light Saber by [Insert Better Name Here], Robert Burt

INSTRUCTIONS: Use light as a weapon.

So what do we do after a play? Clean up. Well. Okay. We don't. We play with spotlights. They are bright and can hurt your eyes. They can also shoot people down from a distance.

Were you there when we built the light out of a fresnel and an ellipsoidal hybrid?

Or when we took the spotlight bulb, and put it in the ellipsoidal? That's the only light I've ever seen that actually HURT to look at, and it was damn hot too. We built a lot of hybrid lights that day, but the ellipsoidal spotlight, that sucked so much, we had it set up as a trap in the hallway, lol. Open the door to shop and BAM! Blinding hot white light.

That sounds like a pretty terrible trap.

...

I am so incredibly jealous of your school's theatre. All we have is an echo-y multi use room and a 15'x15' little stage in a classroom.

Major props. As a theatrical electrician, it warms my heart to see follow spots put to their true use.
