I consider Björk to be the height of neuveau avant garde and Elvis Presley to be the epitome of sugar-coated studio rock. I was somewhat suprised at how quickly they could be linked together. Can I take from this that nothing is indeed new, and all is just a reinterpretation of what has been set before? Or maybe it just indicates the power of the human mind to find patterns and meaning in nearly random data.
