Arbitrary Rendezvous by Robert Burt, JK Bobbins
November 23rd, 2008 10:25 AM
Our idea for this task was to play it like a game of hide and seek; the first person ventures to a place of their choosing and the second person hastily attempts to seek them out. We got about 3 rounds of it in and the whole game took about 2 hours.
The Set-Up:
..................
anacromaticmemb (1:24:31 PM): hello. jon.
jonnykookamunga (1:30:04 PM): hello. robert.
anacromaticmemb (1:30:14 PM): what. should we do?
jonnykookamunga (1:30:18 PM): task?
anacromaticmemb (1:31:43 PM): which one? got any ideas?
jonnykookamunga (1:56:45 PM): http://sf0.org/tasks/Arbitrary-Rendezvous/
anacromaticmemb (1:57:08 PM): aight meet you there.
jonnykookamunga (1:57:12 PM): kay
jonnykookamunga (1:57:16 PM): I need to get dressed
anacromaticmemb (1:57:19 PM): aight.
....................
1. We both headed for the local starbucks. If you are ever in Brentwood and want to find either one of us, this is where you start. And to no one's surprise, we both arrived there.
- Jon Finds Robert playing with his camera.

2. Jon then heads off to his hiding spot. Good ol' Veteran's Park. Veteran's Park is a nice place to go if you want to get really dizzy or be an African princess for a bit.ROBERT:I knew what direction Jon was headed, so I figured he was going off to the Starbucks on the other side of town we usually go to. But I figured I might as well check the park seeing as it was on the way.
- Robert finds Jon at Veteran's park, basking in the sun.

3. Robert Hides.
- Jon, thinking small, looks in all the wrong places, i.e. our school, our McDonalds, our Tacos Tacos Tacos Tacos. However, Robert, thinking big, was at Barnes & Noble way across town, another favorite of ours.

In desperation Jon texts Robert:
Jon: Are you on Balfour?
Robert: Not even close.
Jon: I'm on my way.
- Jon finds Robert at Barnes and Noble reading up on "Things White People Like"

- Jon and Robert pose sexy-like for the camera

We know each other too well.

That's what seems to happen when people who know each other very well complete this task.
You do know each other well. I don't think I could find any of my friends with that kind of accuracy.
