Pirates Vs. Ninjas by Rock Hard Phantom

August 3rd, 2006 9:40 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Spend a day being a Pirate or a Ninja. If you are a Pirate - pillage and burn (in that order). If you are a Ninja do something Ninja-y. Remember, it is strictly prohibited to:

1. Kill other players, except in designated player killing areas.
2. Steal valuable possessions from the corpses of already dead players.

My day as a pirate went swimmingly. I decided to spend the entire day as a pirate which meant going to the store, driving around, going to the park, and going to work in full garb, a mustache, and five o’clock shadow. I work at a day school/summer camp in Sonoma County, so the students were more than shocked to see their female teacher encouraging lying, stealing, and pillaging (I decided to omit the raping part for obvious reasons). Throughout the day I taught the kids the ways of the pirate. We even had a pirate school were they learned to look, think, and act like a pirate. They soon found that pirates don’t whine, they just yell ARRRRRR instead. By the end of the day I taught kids how to swashbuckle, learned that having one eye sucks, and scored some pirate booty that I stole from a kid. Okay I lied. A kid just thought that I should have some treasure and made me earrings and a bracelet (even with my black heart… I can’t steal from a kid). I wish I could have put pictures of my students up sword fighting and yelling ARRRR, but I am not sure of the legal ramifications about putting pictures of children who aren’t my own up on the internet. None the less I have to say spending the day as pirate was very satisfying.

Before Work

Good thing I don't work at the preschool behind me. I freaked out a few little itty bitties on my way through the parking lot.

Porage

Every pirate needs a good breakfast to start the day.

The walkie talkie went well with my tin foil sword.

Here I am showing off my treasure.

At the park

At the park

Yes, pirates like to swing.

I took over the play structure at the park. The kids didn’t like that so much.

Brilliant! this is better than anything I thought would happen when I dreamt up the task.

Just to let ya'll know, I still randomly hear the kids yell, "ARRRRR" instead of whininning.
