I just finished making a quilt yesterday. I'm going to give it to my parents for their birthdays, which are fast approaching. I made it out of only fabric I bought in thrift stores on a cross-country road trip. The fabric section in the one most sorely lacking in chicago thrift stores. The quilt is a little lumpy; it was my first attempt at machine quilting, and the layers got skewed. But that just makes it warmer and cosier.
