Document Confusion by Spidere

Not the biggest confusion in the world...but I've had this experience many a time before, as I'm sure we all have.
Walking through the mall, I saw the one, then turned and saw the other...and it took me a moment to understand that one of these things was not like the other one.
I don't know why, but for some reason realizing that this not a person but a thing is really startling sometimes. Sensibly, I would think it would be more startling the other way around.

Lank, I think that's definitely a part of why I was startled when I realized she wasn't real...that transition of "She looks interesting...oh my goodness, that's a mannequin! What was I thinking?" That strange sensation that you've been assigning various human traits to something which is not at all human...

I didn't notice that she wasn't real until Spidere's comment. I actually thought she was kinda hot too. haha.
#2 is creepy! (but I thought she looked kinda hot at first glance...)
