Significant Gesture Creation And Use by Stone Saints, Sarah Baker
January 15th, 2007 8:22 PM
This gesture is dedicated to Sarah Baker's husband. He and she always use the term, "dagger." It's used to emphasize a bad situation. For example:
A: "I went all the way to the grocery store on the other side of town, cause I heard they had Pinwheels, but when I got there they'd sold out."
B: "Oh, dagger."
The term caught on with Sarah's family, and she's said it so many times around me that I found myself using it as well. So I thought it deserved its own gesture. Basically, it's a gesture that depicts the action of stabbing a dagger into oneself (or another, I suppose). The gesture allows you to specify the exclaimation. You can stab stomach, chest, eye, back, etc. depending on the "dagger" situation.
I'm posting pictures right now, but video should be coming soon:)
