Ask a Dumb Question by .thatskarobot

July 31st, 2007 7:07 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: During a conversation, when someone brings up a word, concept, reference, or person that you don't know but would normally pretend to know about, ask them about it.

As this was my first task, i was browsing the with a few of my friends who are also players. They began talking about cars, and how they call one of their cars The Transporter. I knew this, and I think it's a horrible name for his car, as his car could have a much sexier name. I asked him why the car was called "The Transporter", he was extremely puzzled as to why I didn't know why his car was named The Transporter, than he began to explain to me that it is named after the movie, because it is the same car as the one in the movie. He then realized that I was acting quite dumb, then accused me of attempting to complete this task.

He loses, cause I completed it.

I wanted only to comment to say that you can do better than this. This game is about creativity and I dare say that I cannot find any creative juices flowing in this task. Sad day

yeah

"LAME" & "you can do better"

Ooh, new people criticizing other new people! I always feel a little bad when I am the one offering constructive/non constructive criticism of others first efforts.

I got slapped down by the old timers when I started and made mis-steps. I searched old completions, didn't take it personally and was gently shown how epicness is done. In my time now I have smacked down others both rightly and wrongly. (I am a nice guy, i swear, but it just doesn't seem like it when I am sleep deprived. At least I'm not anything like Rubin)

I like it when new players go out and raise the bar for themselves, glad to know you two will not be submitting any lame completions to the praxis for us to grumble about. It is often alluring to do so in a rush to gain levels and access more fun tasks, I look forward to seeing you get creative in epic ways. Otherwise i'm sure Mr. Gomes will have a big smile on his face the day that he gets to call you lame. (As will I, I hope you can proudly stand my all your completions. I know I can)

Also, if you have made Rainbow Bright sad, then something is wrong in the world. That's not how its supposed to be.

FYI: Justin calls me lame on a daily basis.
He wins at everything a ever compete with him in.
He's also one of the most creative people I've ever met...which means I'm encouraging him.
He may be new to sf0 but I've known him for quite some time.
