EDIT: I know it said an object you enjoy, but really there isn't much to enjoy out here. I enjoy being cynical, however.
Having lived in Brentwood for my entire life, I have experienced 18 years of growth and development. I have heard, and have had, many opinions about this growth. I have had a general feeling of progressiveness from this growth; I feel it loosens the grip of the close-minded over our town. I enjoy the growth.
When all of the new housing developments, I welcomed it. It brought new parks, and more business to our town.
This business area was built quite recently, only in the last few years. I have enjoyed being a customer here; it houses my favorite Starbucks in town. I frequent Jamba Juice, and Philly Cheese steaks do often sate my appetite from this locale. It was a nice place to participate in consumer affairs.
Until recently.
This statue, this piece of “art” has ruined all of that for me. This waste of metal takes up space in this otherwise beautiful (for Brentwood) area. It obfuscates the businesses, turning the locale from an area that says “Hey, go ahead and buy stuff here.” To a grim “CORPORATE STUFF BUY BUY BUY.”
I know that the Starbucks should have brought this feeling previously, and it may have been the start to this whole problem. This statue set it over the edge though.
I can’t stand metallic corporate turds called art, and I request that it be quickly, and silently removed.
Thank You.

From the genuine tone of your irritation it sounds a little like you relish your aggravation, pehaps (even just a little) you enjoy being rightly upset at heartless evil corporate bs consumerism? If this is true then, in a twisted way, this object of your ire has given you some enjoyment.
But I think your picture may not do justice to its evil nature, from my screen it looks sort of cool. (this is surely an illusion due to my not actually being near the object in question)
