Language "Encryption" by Toom

May 1st, 2006 11:28 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Using online translation tools, "encrypt" some text (that you write or find) by translating it multiple times into different languages and then back into English.

For instance, "The drive to play San Francisco Zero" translated from English to German to French to Italian to English again becomes "The order of Saint game Francisco".

Using Tooms favorite quote from good old Benjamin Franklin:

"Certainty? In this world nothing is certain but death and taxes."

Using an old school Babel Fish via Altavista :
Translated into French, then into Italian, then BACK into French and then warped back into English.

It lost a bit of it's pep, for sure.

"Certainty? In this world null he certain but died and the taxes."
