Clever Vandalism by Vee

February 7th, 2008 3:46 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Vandalize cleverly. Go beyond simple graffiti and do something extra special.

6 February 2008:

I decided that the students on my campus could use a few pointers in their daily lives, so I started a "Public Service Announcement" project. I started out wanting to stick to a "Save the environment!" theme, but I couldn't find all the required graphics to make all the signs that I wanted. Instead, I ended up making two environmentalist signs and one...more general one, I guess.

I figured that the cheapest way to get these fliers produced was to print them on school computers. It's $0.04 per page in B&W and $0.40 for color.

I did plan on posting these fliers indoors and outdoors, but the weather would not permit me to do so. I didn't want my fliers getting all soggy. Also, I am aware that I sound like a 13 year old boy in my video. It's the microphone, not me.

Ooh. The weather was quite fabulous today. I wouldn't have to put this off until Monday after all. Time to get to work.

I posted these fliers in a lot more places than I posted pictures of. I apologize for the bad photography skills, as I didn't take a whole lot of time for each picture. However, I hope you still enjoy the photos!

I figured that the vending machines could use some extra motivation. You know, like a call to arms.

I return later that day, and someone had taken one. I guess they liked it that much.

Tagged the newspaper dispenser, which happened to be empty. Those paper boys are getting lazy these days.
