The mean streets of Minneapolis have been obfuscating a major celebrity, keeping him away from the prying lenses the paparazzi and the vicious slings and arrows of Page Six. While Our Hero isn't exactly from the Brangelina/LiLo/Affleck tier of celebrity, he is a household name amongst those with any cinematic taste. I'm speaking about the incomparable Wes Anderson, director of The Royal Tenenbaums and Rushmore, among others.
I found Mr. Wes Anderson has no sense of privacy or hermitage, for I was able to locate him right in the Minneapolis White Pages (using whitepages.com) without much effort at all. He resides at Dupont and 22nd, a colorful neighborhood from which I'm certain Mr. Anderson draws his inspiration. Feeling inspired myself, I wrote him the following fan letter:
Dear Mr. Anderson--
It is such an honor to be writing to you! I am one of your biggest fans. Your movies have thrilled, entertained, and delighted me since I first saw Bottle Rocket in the summer of 1997. Ever since then, every movie directed by Wes Anderson has been just wonderful.
Your movies are hilarious, off-beat, heart-warming, occasionally macabre, and always endearing. I could quote pages of my favorite lines and scenes, but I won't bug you with all that.
My favorite? The Royal Tenenbaums, with The Darjeeling Limited and Rushmore tied for second and Bottle Rocket coming in third. You cast genius actors who have real chemistry that's practically tangible -- Gwyneth Paltrow and Luke Wilson are a perfect example -- and the casts as a whole are ensembles to the fullest.
Thank you for making movies, Mr. Wes Anderson. I hope you make many more and win lots of Golden Globes and Oscars like you so richly deserve!
Cheers,
Voo
I enclose a picture of the letter and envelope as hard evidence of my completion of this task. I will update if I hear back from the esteemed director, but as he is surely quite busy, I do not anticipate much more than a form response and maybe an autographed picture. Maybe a first-edition screenplay. After all, I write a pretty kickass letter.

Really good task but your player photo is a bit depressing. You need a hug.

It's just the only picture of me that's in any way interesting. The rest are your standard smiling-really-big-looking-normal photos. I'll change it when I can work something spiffy up.
But I'll take the hug anyway, who turns down free hugs? Nazis, that's who.
yay! welcome. i sure hope mr. anderson isn't too busy to respond to his devoted fans!
