INSTRUCTIONS: Get addicted to something

OR

Kick an addiction.

*cough* Um, hi.

So. This is pretty embarrassing and geeky, I think. But it's true and it has to be said.

See, it's been exactly one month since I joined SF0. It seems like so much longer...especially when you consider the fact that my every waking thought seems to find its way over to SF0.

In the 30 days that I have been a member, I have accumulated 850 points (as of 10:01 am 6/28). I'm not saying that I've got a huge point total, but you have to admit that it's a lot of points to rack up in a month. I've completed 12 tasks. I'm one of The Bloodmarked. I've submitted 3 ideas for tasks. I'm in this thing all the way, kids. No going back.

I sift through people's profiles so I can look at their completed tasks and hopefully find one that I haven't seen yet. That's how I found this task, actually. Amoeba Man had it on his list, and now it's going to be on mine. I want to spend the night in a store and get all those crazy points. I want to drop 1000 small heavy things in public, but I can't figure out the ways and means. I want POINTS, man, POINTS!

Addiction is ugly, generally. But my addiction breaks the mold...my addiction is creative and productive. Well, if you call making a man out of lunchmeat and mustard productive.

If SF0 was a job, I'd work overtime. I wouldn't even ask for time and a half. My husband is tired of how much I talk about it, I can tell by his voice...he may say "Cool, honey" or "Wow, good job" but I can tell what he means is, "Good god, *another SF0 task at 3 am?"

I've tried to get my friends hooked. I even took the puzzles from MN0PQ1 and printed them out (with handwritten, envelope-sealed hints to accompany them) and mailed them to my friend in Chicago as a way of luring him and his ladyfriend into the world of SF0 so that I won't feel like such a loner junkie.

Vote for a poor addict who finally found a way to exploit her addiction in order to get...the very thing she's addicted to. I mean, come on, me submitting this task proof is like a heroin junkie walking up to a dealer and saying, "I'm a junkie" and then getting a free dime bag.

Hell, I get a few points even if no one votes for this pitiful plea. The dragon will be quieted for another few hours...but as soon as I run out of internet, I'm going to be back, prowling for more tasks with which to inundate the praxis.

It goes with me everywhere in case I get inspired or need to know what pictures to take or what specifically to do.

This is the SF0 folder I have within My Pictures. I have folders for every task I've done that required more than one picture..you know, so I can organize them.

I love that fire of excitement, the obsession and sort of perpetual joy that comes with it. That's the great side of addiction. It's fantastic. You are far from alone in this, Voo. :)

Thank god. Not that I'd be surprised to be the dorkiest one in any social circle...

You are not alone!

Nothing like a Score high to start the day. Better than Oatmeal.

No shit. I've been grinning all day. Just now, I actually squealed "910 points!!" out loud and clapped my hands like a little girl.
