Information Removal by Darren Scott

January 7th, 2008 1:18 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Remove information from a place that has suffers from an overabundance information.

So with this task i went a little overboard, but meh!

I was inspired by a post that said he removed something from the dictionary, thank you friend for this idea. I likewise removed a part of an "Encyclopedia" however it is a worldly known and cited Encyclopedia, known as Wikipedia.

What I did was I made a FREE account, went to edit a page, and decided to delete the whole thing. My original intent was to delete the article "United States" however it was only up for editing from registered users. So I instead landed on Nazi Germany. I also decided it was funnier.

P.S. Keep in mind that wikipedia, i think, has rollbacks. So when you see this task, it might already be back to normal, but i ensure you that i did complete the task.

UPDATE: Instead of just deleting it, i have decided to update it with the Uncyclopedia article under the same name. Which is completely LEGAL, under the fair use policy that they are both a part of.

Weak.

You do realize they have bots set up to INSTANTLY revert vandalism like that, right? You don't even get the satisfaction of having wasted some wiki-editor's time.

Oh, and welcome to the game. I don't mean to come off as too harsh, but in the future, if you put more effort into tasks (and generally complete them in a more constructive way) you'll get better results!

Um... I think it might be some kind or war crime to deny the existence of Nazi Germany. I hope wiki doesn't put you on some kind of register for doing what you did.

The above comment is a joke.

Thank you,

Now write a long and interesting article (fully sourced) on something very obscure for information insertion.

I might vote for that, if it was funny enough.
