Spread SF0 by Mark Curtis

August 1st, 2007 7:50 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Spread SF0 in some way, shape or form. It can be online, on the streets, any way you like.

Seeing the tasks of "Spread SF0" and "Cut Your Hair" I came up with the ingenious idea to kill two birds with one stone and etch SF0 into the back of my head.

So I went out today, and was rather depressed by comments. No strangers talked to me, or even gave me a look, not that I could see at least. Because I'm in a small town no people really saw me except some close friends, who just saw it and said, "What?" and then left it alone. Of course I had them help me with the Floss task after explaining though. =)
The only person who really commented was my best friend JC, who said it was "retarded". Great answer.... so I just told him he didn't appreciate the fine art of social experimentation.

8:25
Showed dad the hair, 'What the HELL did you do to your hair?', he says. I told him it was a social experiment, and since I volunterally showed him, it lightened the load. He also told me to grow it back fast. =P

10:12am (Day 3)
Last night was crazy. My girlfriend, or should I say ex-girlfriend, and her two siblings couldn't believe that I would shave it into the back of my head for "a game", even though I tried explaining it was more of social experimentation. I also tried explaining to them that it is like a temporary tattoo, seeing as my hair grows back and it can be covered, but they still gave me that death stare, it was rather heart-breaking, but I'm not broken because I understand me. =)
(P.S. We did not break up because of the hair, sorry to burst your bubble =/)

In hopes that I may attract a couple more comments, I but a "Brilliant" myspace post up.
(If you don't have myspace, or that didn't work, Click Here
Kinda depressed, all I got was one comment on the bulletin, thinking about putting it up again. Here was his side of the convo:
-'wait, is that YOUR head?/but your head was so beautiful! is it still like that?/that makes sense. no i haven't, but I will [check out the site].' Even though he isn't a very outgoing person, I could probably pull him in, he just needs a leader. =)

(Will continue updating, myspace comments and all.)

Way to multi task.
Nice way to bust into the game and show some SFØ pride…
Remember SFØ has been going on for years…
Be sure to dig through all the old completions to find some real gems of inspiration

Leave it there as long as you can!!

A winner is you! Nice cut. Even though I suspect you didn't cut your own hair, I love it. Was wondering when someone might have the balls to do this. You're getting my vote when you put up lots of nice reaction shots. Maby you can even get a person or two to join when they ask you what is goin on with your hair. Keep us posted.

Stickler

Your such a stickler for the literal.
If you look at his haircut task you can see he admits to having an accomplice.
Personnaly I don't care he took the task somewhere I never saw it going when I wrote it so he gets my kudos.

Besides, just think… everywhere he goes people are going to be like…"wha da shiz SFØ mange?"

Spread it ON!!!

Spar be damned, literalist or not, I still love it

aww, but I giggle in delight at the thought of trying to shave such a thing into ones own head. Cuase it would be so much more funny for all the people who get to see it, busted ass letters & whatnot. I have always suspected that this task was designed to put a bunch of hilariously messed up haircuts into the world. Having someone else do it avoids that. (My mother always cuts my hair, you dont see me with a camera hittin up the praxis.)
Although I am often a literalist, I gave him a vote, so I am not terminally literalistic. And I can tell you I havn't voted for any of the other haircuts.

I vote for this task, but not for the "cut your hair" task. If he had given himself the haircut, I would have been impressed. However, for this task, it is brilliant.

It is a little surprising that no one asked you about it. But wow, nice job.
