Hah, done. This was fun and basically all that I learned in my first two weeks of work, other how /not/ to organize a non-profit. NKUK provided moral support and commiseration over google talk during my first stretch of boredom at work. I still haven't changed my key. I feel like this is half parlour trick, half practical--sort of like picking locks or some sleight of hand.. everyone should have something like it.

Used a Backtrack live linux cd on my Asus w/ Intelpro2200BG and a good external Netgear card (that has since been stolen, making this whole thing much harder). At first I had to cheat and start large downloads on my target computer to scare up enough valuable packets, but then I figured out how to deauth attack and rebroadcast ARPs, so this could work in the field now. The actual crack was totally frustrating since I remembered/assumed that I had set an 128k key; after 3 hours I second guessed myself, set it for 64, and got my key out in 2 seconds. Maybe 64-bit is actually better.
