Shortly before you recorded this, I finally got a chance to get started on reading it. I *LOVE* the fact that the audio book is recorded by a non-native English speaker. It, in my mind, helps to emphasize the translated nature of the supposed source material. Very good job on the bit I've listened to, and I hope to listen to the whole thing over time.
Indeed, we didn't really want to set off the sprinklers because neither of us really needed nor wanted to buy a bunch of water damaged IKEA furniture in Stockholm.
Excellent storytelling about your journey!
Gah, now my improvised yardstick+shoelace bow is useless!
Except judges seemingly randomly decided that bike lanes don't continue into the intersections (while other lanes continue to do so) (which actually was a ruling, and caused some lady who was hit by a turning car not to get any of her high medical costs covered).
Portland may be the most bike friendly city in the US, but compared to Europe, a bike friendly city, it is not.
Didn't we just have a discussion about how to tell time in norge during this time of year, assuming you know your directions/have a compass? I think I remember giving a direction solely based on the sun+time of day while eating pizza. The sun basically just makes a circle about you there. =P
Also: I do this ALL THE TIME when camping, so unless I can think of something truly awesome to do for this task, I shall be avoiding it. The number 1 rule when camping: eat when hungry, sleep when tired, clocks/sun matter not in these activities (unless you need to light a fire, which is much easier when the sun is up).
Bravo! Very well done!
Maybe I wasn't clear. I definitely don't want a wiki or a forum to take place of the awesome praxis we have, but it could be an awesome way to index that.
I am probably different than other people here, but I often have to write things down in order to remember them. I see the wiki as being SF0's way of referencing what we think is important, but to each their own. I'll probably contribute where I can, but honestly I don't have the knowledge of the beforetimes that I would like to have to contribute what I would like.
24 is way too short. Especially if books aren't banned.
