We began our Halloween by preparing our zombie and hooker vampire makeup during the daylight hours.

As the sun began to set, the band of SUPAH "kawaii" Japanese characters, dalek, hooker Ke$ha, and classic monsters (although the last two are synonymous) embarked up Bernal Hill. We got lost several times trying to find the main road since the hooker Ke$ha's shoes could not manage the wade through a wheat field.

It was dark by the time we reached the top and we gazed out upon our starry-eyed city with naive, youthful wonder. Everyone was on foot for All Hallows' Eve and the usual glowworms of the city streets were dark and void like abysmal squid tentacles.

The entire group of Japanese characters, hooker  Ke$ha, monsters, dalek, and doctor (unfortunately not that kind).

The main taskers (Eglantine, Viola, and "has not yet registered") with the looming figure of Sutro Tower behind us.


The tower is still a looming presence, but the flash drowned it out.

Myself (Eglantine) in the form of an angry dalek (when aren't they angry).


Argyle (as yet unregistered) being a fail placid zombie.


We bid one last goodbye to the spikey squid guardian of our city and ventured back down the hill to warmth, candy, and pizza.


When all was said and done, I (Eglantine) curled up with a laptop, kitty, and a huge pile of the only good candy Reeses.
