Things You Can Run Through by Bet Monty

August 21st, 2010 2:50 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Find some.

Certainly, you'll have to make certain said things can be run through.

I actually almost didn't do this task. I'd seen too many entertaining praxis already and I hadn't really thought of something clever... Well, honestly I probably still haven't, but I figured that in the absense of cleverness I'd take the opportunity to teach, instead. Not every praxis has to be funny, right?

Beside, I did have a thought that about it means to "run through" something that was worth exploration.

You may not have realized, but we run through a lot of things without ever moving.

No, really; we do! Here, let me run you through some examples:

Have you ever been in a meeting? One of those really long boring corpate affairs where everyone would as soon slit their wrists as be in that room? You ever go through each point on the meeting's agenda as quickly as possible, to escape? If so, haven't you just "run through the points, really quick"?

What about when you're daydreaming and thinking of various color treatments on your dream house? Aren't you running through the options?

And consider my quick explanation of what I'm doing in this video:

Didn't I just run you through that demo?

I do stuff like that all the time. In fact, if you look at a blog post I wrote when I first got that little machine, I will run through the actual code I wrote to make a debate timer work, here.

And how about the device itself? Doesn't electricity run through it's wires and photons through its light sensor? Sure, I can't run through those wires and-- wait, actually, I guess that depends on how you look at it, right?

I mean, I wrote the program that tells the electricity to run to those lights, so doesn't my will run through that machine? And what am I, if not my will?

It's interesting task. I'm glad I considered it.

Way to do a task you enjoyed without being intimidated by others compilations!

And welcome to the game. Feel free to message if you have any questions about anything, or are bored and want to obsessively talk about SF0 (or life or anything).

Much hugs
Pixie

Ha, I loved it! Very awesome. I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to run through as well, the creative answers are so amazing already. This is a nice one to add.
