Ethereal Cartography by Mistress MeiMei

INSTRUCTIONS: Make a map of something that does not exist physically.

BEHOLD THE GRAND CONTINENT OF AITALIA!!

this great and ancient continent has a most magnificent history, a small portion of which i shall herein include for your intellectual musing pleasures.

the Lord Berkail whose magnificent capital resides in the Itarmerian Realms, reigns suprieme ruler of the continent, as his family lineage has for so many centuries, it is said that time itself has lost count of the years.

Lord Berkail's rule extends all over the continent, save for the United Colonies of Mettarisk, which have recently attempted to split away and form their own kingdom. secession of course, is not permitted, and a bloody and tragic war has been set in motion by his majesty the king.

most of the resisters are centralized around the great chain of lagoons which traverse the southern tip of Mettarisk, and provide an ideal hiding place.

to this narrator, the most fascinating aspect of the continent are the ruins of Mitzulna, and tiny and isolated part of the continent. within Mitzulna are the most intriguing ruins one may ever see.

an ancient labyrinth covers most of the tiny region, in which, very very long away, it is said that archeologists found many skeletons and great treasures.
the labyrinth is impossibly intricate, and no one has ever made it out alive without having some path leading them out once again. it is entirely a quandary of the people of Aitalia who built the labyrinth and how long ago.
rumor has it though, that the people were all driven out, though by what is unknown, and now a handful reside in the mountains Lutarcka to the west. still others say that they crossed over the sea to the west, out of the knowledge altogether of the people of Aitalia, for no one has ever returned from the sea, nor traveled over it from the other side.

perhaps one day we will cross over and see what lies on the other side, but for now, we will go on seeking the mysteries of our own beautiful land, AITALIA!

What are the chief exports of Birkonia?

exports
posted by Mistress MeiMei on September 22nd, 2009 10:07 AM

due to its coastal location, Birkonia many exports fish. it cheifly specializes in Bribber Fish, a large, brown colored fish whose migratory schools can become so dense that they virtually make the ocean nearly solid, so that it would be close to impossible to swim or travel through their schools.

however, in addition to its fish exports, Birkonia does have small underground reservoirs of Miterils, the very rare and precious metal which stays in a liquid form at room temperature, and is used in the finest of jewery, arcitecture and crocery etc.
it is a paradox that the sheer volumes of fish exported astronomically exceed that of the amounts of Miterils, yet the profit sums from the sales of Miterils is nearly double that of the net profits made from the sales of fish.

What is the history of the United Colonies? And what is the significance of the Lagoons of Mittoon?

Also, how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

the history of the united colonies is a long and complex one, stretching far back in time to when many many small clans all fought against eachother, and were only united by the common desire to be liberated from the perceived tyranny of the rule of Lord Berkail.

the lagoons in and of themselves are not significant, however, they provide an excellent hiding place for the rebels due to the fact that the lagoons are extremely treterous and difficult to navigate and only the rebels can relibly survive negotiating their way through them.

700 pounds.

i beg to differ.
i think it would depend on the weight of the woodchuck, the volume and density of the log of wood. and of course whether or not the woodchuck was african or european.

it was always my impression that a woodchuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck would.
