Pictured are the public restrooms for the Sinissippi Park Bandshell in Rockford, Illinois. While there is a larger facility provided around the corner for the audience, the Park's modest budget couldn't afford to build another bathroom attached to the Bandshell for the evening's performers.

Instead a pair of port-o-potties sit in a wooden pen behind the performance space. While the door is padlocked off-season, the bathrooms are open to the public during the summer season.

The dated architectural design of the Bandshell, its solitude in a seldom-used public park, the leaves strewn about the stage signalling chronic neglect are all characteristic of the best and worst my hometown has to offer.
