Strange Garb by Christophe Taylor

April 24th, 2006 7:59 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Go somewhere dressed in unorthodox clothes.

For instance, you could sunbathe at the beach in a three-piece suit or go to work in a kimono. Use your judgment: for instance, if you're somehow a modern geisha, then wearing a kimono to work wouldn't be so unorthodox.

Take photos as proof.

This is me at a coffee shop in berkeley wearing chainmaille. Surprizingly, no one seemed to think it was particularly strange. the most I got was a series of compliments on how nice it looks.

that's the bay area for you! did you know that they tried to film a scene from that star trek movie where they land in SF with hidden cameras so they could get really great honest reactions out of people? well they had to refilm it with shocked extras because nobody in SF was very surprised to see a bunch of guys dressed in treky outfits walking around downtown.
