INSTRUCTIONS: Ambush a rival with overwhelming numbers. Make them beg for mercy.

Remember, you may not kill other players except in designated player killing areas.

EquivalenZ has ambushed Oliver X with overwhelming numbers. Over the last month, we've sent him close to a million digits worth of numbers including encoded messages, irrational numbers, and huge random sequences. Since Oliver X is in MN and most of the EquivalenZ folks are in SF, this has been an e-ambush. This is a fitting form of ambush given the technology focused nature of our team. We did, however, send him a thoughtful Halloween card for the forth of July. It contained overwhelming numbers, of course.

Oliver X didn't exactly beg for mercy. In fact, he responded with threats that would have deterred any wimpy sf0er. But we persisted and after a month long ambush, Oliver gave us the go ahead to claim success.

Wow. That'd have to be annoying.

How about posting some proof? :-)

As per your request, Aaro, I've included a copy of that response.

I'm afraid I never got your Halloween card.

I also didn't get most of your SF0 messages, thanks to the following procmail recipes:

* From: daemon@sf0.org
* \d\d\d\d\s+\d\d\d\d\s+\d\d\d\d\s+\d\d\d\d

So, Oliver has now given us information on how to format our messages to bypass his procmail rules.

I smell a "Do Over" task...

Filtered mail

Yeah... I was pretty sure that you'd use filters, that's why I started sending you valuable (or at least humourous) encrypted messages. We could have set up auto spammers, but I thought that an auto-ambush was lame and that there was something quaint (in a geeky sort of way) about the "manual" aspect of our attack. At the end of the day, however, I'm happy to know that our sf0 task made it into your procmail message filters.

Hmmm... If you didn't get the holiday card, then you probably didn't any of the postcards either. Hmm... I wonder who's been getting them? Ha! Seems like we may have gotten some faulty intelligence (or we've been manipulated (which would be far more interesting)). So much for the battle on multiple fronts.

we all win...

I think it's set up so we all appear first on the task to our own eyes. perhaps it is magic.
