When I picked this task, I thought it was going to be easy. And to start with, it was easy enough. I was sitting at my desk and my gaze happened to fall upon a yellow paperclip. Now, I had been saving this paperclip because it seemed so cheery. If you have worked in an office, you understand. So I sculpt it into a heart and attach a note that says "Have a nice day!". All well and good.

Then it came time to give it to someone. And it was SO scary! Every time I saw someone with an open bag, I felt a million eyes upon me. "But I am just giving them something! It's just a note wishing her a nice day! It's not anthrax, I swear!" I had my excuse all ready. So on the train on the way home, I kept my eyes peeled for a potential victim. But alas, my cowardice prevailed. So tonight, I was determined to plant my gift on some unsuspecting soul.

And then I saw her. Open bag. Back to me. On the phone. No one else was paying attention. As I walked past, I just dropped my gift into her bag. I didn't even break my stride. And to my surprise, I felt a sudden rush of exhilaration. I had done it! It was fun! No one caught me!
