The Things We Bury For Our Friends by Rin Brooker, Jesse Roberts
August 10th, 2009 6:58 PMLooking back though if I had known how much luggage she was going to bring I would have made it shorter @_@
Rin: I took a trip to Washington to visit my dear friend Jesse (who I had never met in real life until yesterday when I got off the plane) before I head off to college. the plane ride was not so great, but the day got better when I was picked up from the airport by Jesse. Little idid I know that I had a surprise task waiting for me in Cheney. He handed me his camera and followed me as bumbled my way around the city searching for the buried treasure. I had to follow the pictures in order and find where the next one was taken to find the right path. I never expected what I found at the end. (see pictures)

Rin and her map
Rin: When Jesse handed me a camera and told me my map was in it I was really interested. It was a great puzzle fitting the pictures together with my surroundings.
treasure hunt
Jesse: I led her here just to see the view. I really like this place. It's a little out crop on an small island.
treasure hunt
Jesse: I pick this general area to be the end of the hunt because I know that Rin love yellow snapdragons, so I wanted to bring her here. She was SO excited!!!
The treasure
Rin: When I dug up the treasure I was really surprised. Its definitely a great keepsake. Jesse: I though this suvinear coin would be a nice way for Rin to remember her trip to Washington.

I love the camera-as-map idea. Nicely done!
