Fake Fake Photography by Alan Levine

March 14th, 2008 9:28 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Submit an image to a "photoshop" display or contest website, such as worth 1000. The catch: everything in your photo must either be captured in-camera or created using physical darkroom techniques; no digital manipulation allowed.

Submitted a straight photo (a reflection photo in a window) to the Worth100 Guitar Hero contest

I think the task ws requiring you to make an image that looks photoshopped, and at the very least keeps to the competition at hand...

Yes, I tried to do something to quickly. I thought it was sort of Photoshoppy like a blended collage. They booted the entry:

There are certain type of entries we do not allow, either because they are potentially controversial, contain illegal material, contain overused items, contain non-photorealistic imagery, do not follow the contest rules or because they contain elements we consider lazy. The administrators felt that your entry fell into one (or more) of these categories and disqualified your entry. The specific reasoning for this note is the following: Your entry does not meet the intention and worded requirements of the contest rules. Also: Your entry does not meet the general quality level we require on the site for an Advanced contest.

Give it another go! I think part of the challenge here is doing something pertaining to the display or contest group- something that could conceivably be an image photoshopped to the group's specifications, but wasn't photoshopped.

I'd say that this is harder than the number of points hints at.

This proof has been flagged by 6 of your fellow players (for the benefit of all, flags are anonymous). As such, it has been automatically disapproved. Most likely, they've posted comments explaining why they're displeased. If you think you may be the victim of a bug, injustice, or a gang of Rubins, hit up the contact page.
