Camera Make/Mod by Danger D. HotBod

INSTRUCTIONS: Modify or create a camera.

I decided to mod my polaroid camera. My first thought was to change the way it took pictures in darkness, because the flash of a polaroid takes such garish night-time photos.

At first I just tried to make a little pocket to hold a LED flashlight, and then I covered up the flash. This didn't work very well, because it was just too dark. So I attached two more light sources - a LED headlamp and a small mag-lite. I used long pieces of inner tube to tie them in place (inner tube is excellent for jury-rigging). This was also still too dark (although better), so I took off the flash covering and attached a small magnifying mirror so that I could bounce the flash off the ceiling.

This turned out to take nice pictures in darkness, so I tried to take some pictures outside just to see how it worked (not as well as inside where the light could bounce off the ceiling).

However, I found I could point the mirror down and deflect some of the flash into the lens to make a nice washed out light effect (the brightest picture).

This deserves at least one vote.
It may not show much in the form of results but the camera looks pretty amazing!
I imagine most pictures taken with this camera would depict peolpe looking intimidated.
