"The Oiled Bird"
Another variation of the popular 'bird' gesture, "The Oiled Bird" involves provocatively lubing up your bird for its insertion into one of the recipient's orifices (literally or figuratively). The attached photographic sequence illustrates "The Oiled Bird" being used as a brilliant riposte - first figuratively parrying the offender's remarks with 'the bird' (after liberally 'lubing' the bird of course), and then physically counter-attacking with a vicious 'wet willie'!
The Oiled Bird can also be suggestively moved in a 'fingering' motion to insinuate insertion into more 'suggestive' (if practically inconvenient) cavities. It's the dirtiest bird I know.

there is a book out there called "a field guide to the north american bird". which has remarkable good history and info about "the bird" (including etymologies). it also has every variation you ever heard of, with detailed instructions, diagrams, and usage tips. (you should contact the authors with "the oiled bird" maybe they will put it in the second edition!)

What a satisfying and prompt answer! Know offhand if the North Atlantic "bird" (i.e. girl) is some distant linguistic cousin?

Perhaps the best thing about this animation is that you can tell Inktea is secretly enjoying it.
Animated gifs = brilliant!
Anyone know where "the bird" comes from? Etymologically, I mean.
