Trick or Treat! by Rainbow Bright, Twink
August 30th, 2007 10:50 PMAfter quite a decision making process, she decided that she would masqerade as Ariel from the Little Mermaid and I should wear her wings and boa....making me a....fairy? That was fine with me, any excuse to wear wings is worth it in my mind. With treat bags in tow, we were on our way.
Walking down some busy streets we received quite a few sideways glances along with many smiles. One woman asked us if we were going to a party. When I simply replied with "no, we're trick or treating," she gazed at me strangely, said "good luck" and kept walking. Seeing that Twink is quite a personable gal, we stopped and spoke with many passersby. All seemed get a good laugh out of our shenanigans...I'm glad we had the opportunity to bring about some smiles.
All in all we had a great day. I hope that Tasking Tuesdays continue to be fruitful. I will admit that it's a lot of fun getting to do absolutely ridiculous things with a three year old. Hopefully the lesson of "it's ok to be creative and even a little bit strange" will stick with her for the duration!
I'm Not Quite Sure....
On a few occasions I was asked, "what are you?" I guess I'll go with 'poorly put together fairy.' But hey...an excuse to wear wings and a feather boa...why not?
Staring at the Pink Floyd Poster
Everytime Twink heads to Uncle YellowBear's house she seems to spend quite a bit of time checking out the Pink Floyd poster on the wall. She was also quite interested in the Ganesh tapestry, asking many questions regarding his purpose. Glad to see that we have an inquizative 3 year old on our hands.
Searching...
Hmmm....what can we dig up to give a trick or treater in August? We were offered a banana and sunscreen. But much to our delight we walked away with a gun that shot chickens out of it! Sweet.
Another Sweet Prize
At this stop we came away with a toy robot...but the best part was that it said "Flight of the Concords" on the front. If you are unfamiliar...look them up on youtube. It's worth it...Business Time.
M&M's, Awesome.
She's still clutching the Chicken Shooter...it turned out to be the most coveted prize of the day.
The Spoils
Not a bad day of trick or treating...maybe we should aways go out on days other than Oct 31st...it seems you get more interesting things in your goodie bag.
A Long Day of Driving Around
After driving to many different stops Rainbow Bright and Twink were both ready for some quiet time.

It's just been a day of adorable tasks completions!
My slimy moustache feels very out of place here…
Don't forget what I told you...she can't read...at least not yet!
"You know when I am just down to my socks its business time,
that's why they call them business socks…"
Wow, how lucky can a kid be to have Tasking Tuesday? That's what the world needs. Doesn't get any better than that.
Aren't all little girls fascinated with lifting their skirts? That's what skirts are for, after all?

That's adorable.
