Schift is a small town unhinged in space-time and will show up (and disappear from) various locations seemingly with no rhyme or reason. In addition, the town itself (not only buildings but the flora/fauna as well) will undergo physical changes after transferring to a different location.

The town consists of around 250 permanent residents with various visitors stumbling upon the location at different times. The climate matches the climate of the current location, meaning that a nice sunny day in Arizona can suddenly become sub-zero temperatures during an Antarctic blizzard.

The clerk here can get you any type of governmental form you need

Schift Natural History Museum
Contains fossils from Earth as well as several other planets.

Schift Theater
One screen. Plays new-run movies from all over, including ones not made. This week it's the new John Belushi drama, "Dreamers."

Schift Foods
Ask the staff to get you something "from the back" if they don't have it on the shelf. I suggest a carton of raptor eggs - less cholesterol than chicken eggs, but the taste is very similar.

Schift Store
Convenient lay-away plans to fit every budget. Mind you, some of the higher-tech items will cost you a pretty penny.

Schift Gas
One pump, but it pumps out whatever fuel is needed.

Schift Plaza
The local office building. Usually contains an insurance office, an advertising office, and the local paper (Schift Gazette).

Schift Library
All the books ever written and most of the ones never written can be found here.

Schift Motel
Just a motel. However, the drink machine here contains whatever the visitor likes.

Schift Diner
The cook (previously a four-star chef) can whip up ANYthing the customer desires.

Schift Elementary and Schift High
Prepares children with the life skills they need, no matter on which state/country/planet they decide to settle.
