There are two cats that live beneath me; Timmy and Indigo.
Timmy has been coming up the back stairs to paw at our door, or sleep on our balcony since the day we moved in. Before we knew our neighboors, and asked Timmy's name, we had named him Frodo. I have watched Timmy grow older and fatter across the years, and he has gone from lithe and playful, to grumpy and stiff. He won't let me pick him up these days, since he's to fat to be held comfortably. He's definitely domesticated, and relies on people for food and water. He also will walk right inot our house, and is very difficult to dislodge if he doesn't want to be outside.
Indigo on the other hand, only started coming up to see us in the last year. She's classic "black cat"; wide-eyed and skittish. I see her frequently out at night jumping through backyards and steathily hunting. She's far less domesticated and thus is much less aproachable; but she's finally started to come up and allow a few tentative pets.

Wow. I used to have a solid black cat named Indigo. Wacky.
