The Conspiracy by Cameron

October 3rd, 2006 12:24 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Create your own conspiracy theory.

This is the truth.

Please sit down, and take this in as slowly as you need to.

Recent advances in physics, specifically m-theory and string theory have shown the probable existence of extra dimensions beyond the three spatial and time dimensions we are familiar with. These extra dimensions are said to be curled into nearly undetectable points, that exist at every possible point in our current spatial understanding, known as Kaluza-Klien Shapes.

01 Kaluza.jpg

While these dimensions may appear curled to us, they are in fact not truly ‘dimensions’ but protruding nodes of interference from parallel four-dimensional universes. Each alternate ‘dimension’ or Worldline is closely layered upon the next like a infinite palimpsest.

The obvious conclusion is that if each Worldline leaves impressions on the next, that there is, at some level, some interaction between parallel earths. The sum total of all of these infinite Worldlines is the totality of existence, and infinite number of earths and an infinite number of universes.

What’s more is that many people of influence, on some level, have been aware of this fact for many decade; and they have labored to keep it unknown for sometime, for reasons I will soon elucidate.

02 Stalin.jpg

As Modern Science began to predict and move closer to proving the existence of this radically different cosmology; these men of influence have sabotaged their work by funding counter-research and through a shrewd PR move. Witness the recent decline in the acceptance of string theory; a theory that, while not entirely correct, began to describe the universe in much more elegant terms than any paradigm before it.

However it is not only in the ivory towers of theory that men became aware that we inhabit a universe infinitely stranger than the any we can dream of. The evidence has been slowly accumulating through out recorded history.

That is because that the boundaries between these worlds have been slowly penetrated by intelligences very like (and occasionally very much unlike) our own, for the last 10,000 years.

A Brief Primer, and the First Contact

It can generally be assumed that the Worldlines closest to our own are the most similar, diverging only slightly. The deeper the Travel, you will find the Worldlines more unlike our own. Most Travel is across only a small depth, but there are an infinite number of Worldlines. A good way of looking at is thusly: every possible tiny choice, every possible movement of a dust mote happens in every possible way in at least one Worldline, in fact, it happens in an infinite amount of Worldlines

We do not know much about the Topography of the Worldlines, and their totality, sometimes refered to as: the Infinte Tapestry, for reasons I will illuminate later.

03 Fates.gif

The Worldlines are linked at every point, so when someone or something crosses between the boundaries they emerge at the same relative point. If you cross from the Africa of one Worldline you will emerge in the Africa of the next. That is not to say that in each Worldline the world exists in the same space. Many erstwhile Travelers emerge in a world so unlike their own, that the journey is fatal. Plate Tectonics could work differently in the target Worldline, and you may emerge into a shallow sea, where Paris is supposed to be. In small percentage of Worldlines, but indeed an infinite number of Worldlines, the Earth as we know it, did not survive The Impact, and simply does not exist. Woe be to the Traveler that appears in the dark of the vacuum, eternally orbiting a childless, stillborn solar system.

04 Impact.jpg

Today, and for thousands of years, Travelers have first observed their destinations with survelliance craft; sometimes carefully disguised, sometimes not at all. These observing craft can account for the preponderance of UFO sighting throughout history.

There are no extraterrestrial intelligences that we know of. The seemingly immutable laws of all known Worldlines prevents any reasonable interstellar travel (except by unmanned probes), and Travel from one Worldline to the next is only between the same equivalent place three dimensional space. If a Traveller leaves his Worldline from Texas, he will only be access the relative Texas' of other worldlines (although it may not be called Texas...)

By these same rules, there can be no time travel. If a Traveler leaves his Worldline in 2000 AD, he will only be able to access the relative 2000 AD of other Worldlines. This explains the shifts in the amount and manner of all observed Worldline Travel. The Travelers own history and technology advances at the same rate as our own.

Travel has been occurring for at least 10,000 years; at least to our world. In other worlds, it may have occurred billions of years ago. Indeed in some of the infinte Worldlines, it must have occured billions of years ago, simply because it is possible.

The estimate of 10,000 years is educated guesswork at best; we have no evidence of Travel before that point, and then around that time we have a wealth of evidence that increases till this very day, where we reach near critical mass of Travel-related influence.

How Traveling is Done, or ‘Our Lonely Crowded Earth’

Travel is accomplished not through any mystical power or force, not by magic, juju, voodoo, or any other mythical power. It is done by working within the bounds of the fundamental laws of the universe.

Although I do not pretend to know the working details, I can give you a layman’s description. The earth’s magnetic field is a prime indicator of overlapping dimensional Worldlines. The places where this energy is strongest, are the places where the barrier is weak. With the right amount of energy applied to an object or objects, it can be pushed through these barriers along the harmonic magnetic fields of multiple world lines.

05 Mag.jpg

Incidentally, these nodes of harmonic influence are neatly described by the theory of Ley Lines, at whose vertices correspond with many ancient wonders such as Stonehenge, or the South American Pyramids. Since these points represent the locations that require the least amount of energy to Travel too, they are undoubtedly the places that Travelers most frequently arrived at, explaining the preponderance of suddenly advanced artifacts and civilization around these points.

It is important to note that a Traveler, and all his possessions, maintain the unique vibration and magnetic harmonics of his own Worldline, which dissipate and re-align over time to his destination. Travel can be done by a single being, although this is inevitably a one way trip. Without a computational device and a source of finely tuned power on an exact vibration, a Traveler can never return. This necessitates the use of Traveling machines.

Cleverly, with aid of previous observation, these machines are disguised as common objects and fixtures of the target Worldline. Today, Travel is undoubtedly accomplished in machines that resemble planes and cars. In the past, a machine might have appeared as a horse drawn buggy or a small hut; it’s advanced technology carefully hidden. These machines come precharged and preconfigured to return a Traveler to his originating Worldline.

06 Grey.jpg

(Some Travelers, of a less empathic nature, do not attempt to disguise their presence. These include the inhabitants of one very well known Worldline, who have evolved on a wholly different track than us, and who view us as little more than chattel. These strange, inhuman beings, known as the Greys view us as little more than a Petri dish for study; and are frequently misidentified as extraterrestrial beings.)

Now we come to the sad uniqueness of our own Worldline, and we must come to grips with a fact that makes both unique and pitied across the myriad Worldlines:

Travel is not possible from our Worldline.

Many Worldlines have slightly varied laws of physics, and it appears the minor changes in our own have caused a unique feature. It is possible for other Worldlines, with the right energy and vibration, to enter and exit our own, but we are forever trapped here. It is unknown, the exact cause of our existential malady, but no being or matter originating from our Worldline ever can leave.

If Travelers from other Worldlines stay too long in our own, they themselves will become unable to leave, as thier very matter adjusts to resemble our own. For this reason, our world is limited in incoming Travel. We are seen as a trading post, a scientific outpost, and more cynical uses I will elaborate on later.

Travelers to our world pity or revile us, but the very fact that they are loathe to stay long has kept us in the dark about so much truths… which has shaped not only the history of Travel to our world, but the history of our world itself.

Historical Travel

07 Ag.jpg

The first incidence of Travel can be roughly pinpointed as the beginning of what is known as the First Agricultural Revolution. For approximately 40,000 years, humanity existed in the same basic form, living a sustainable, self limiting, if not particularly luxurious existence. And then suddenly, and inexplicably across a large area, a change began to occur in the methods of human existence.

Tribal hunter gatherers suddenly settled down and began an entirely new method of life, Agricultural, and this we have the beginnings of Civilization. I will refrain from making a judgment on this change. It simply is the truth of our Worldline.

What is also truth is that the spread of this practice was too fast and sudden, occurring at vastly removed places nearly simultaneously. How could a method of living that is predicated on a sedentary life spread, and with such speed? And why did it start? You don’t begin to plant food in a famine; you’ll die before it can be harvested.

You have to make this choice actively… or be influenced. There is little more evidence to support this, other than the fact that after eons of stability, something happened. It is unknown whether the influence was chemical or cultural, via one of the first Travelers, but the influence is undeniable.

Fortunately the increase in influence has lead to a increase in actual physical evidence. I couldn’t expect you to believe this based on supposition and probability; and you yourself should demand hard evidence of everything.

Remember, Doubt is the Acid that washes away at all things, until only the Truth remains. Don’t believe this because I say it; believe it because when compared with the sum totality of History it is the only theory that can make sense.

Historical Influence

Past the zero point of our civilization, interference becomes more visible, and the amount to which histories mysteries fall into place is nearly absurd.

08 Pyramid.jpg

The Egyptian Pyramids were built with a unprecedented precision that cannot be explained with technology of the time. Blocks moved from a quarry miles away, far too large for the masons of the time, are transported miles away by river, but not a single one was lost. This can only be the work of outside influence.

The contact between the South American and African Continent, which can be observed in the presence of tobacco and coca in several Egyptian mummies, make perfect sense in the context of a Traveler or Travelers with superior ocean going technology.

The Myth of Atlantis easily falls into this rubric; Travelers displaying unknown customs and technology simply can say they come from a far off country. When they no longer wish to visit, they spread the tale that this land has been destroyed.

But of course, you cannot just accept this.

You need proof.

Fortunately, we have a guide. An amazing text that documents the best known and most influential Travelers, as well as describing the fabric of the universe as we know understand.

The Voynich Manuscript

09 voynich.jpg

The Voynich Manuscript is a mysterious illustrated book with incomprehensible contents. It is thought to have been written approximately 400 years. Because it is written in an unknown script and in an unknown language, it has eluded translation for centuries. Only recently, with the help of advanced cryptography software and the use of another artifact containing unknown script.

This artifact, the Phaistos Disc was once thought to be a form of Linear A script, is in fact an artifact left behind by a Traveler during pre-Christian times. The Voynich manuscript itself was written by a Traveler-in-exile, presumably from the same or a similar Worldline as the Phaistos Traveler. By using the Phaistos disc as a Rosetta Stone of sorts we can decipher the text of the Voynich Manuscript and unlock it’s secrets.

10 Phaistos.jpg

The author of the Voynich manuscript was a man named Ela’adin Jattarel. He was an inhabitant of a more technologically advanced Worldline, who was banished to our own Worldline. I will go more into detail of the history of our Worldline as a prison colony at a later point. Ela’adin claims to have been punished for attempting to uplift more primitive Worldlines, a practice that most of the confederated Worldlines discourage.

His belief that the bounty of each society should be available to all of humanity on every Worldline was unpopular, and his direct action lead to his imprisonment. In addition, his brain appears to have been surgically altered, in a process he describes as "the confounding of my language."

A clever reader may note the similarity between this phrase and the descriptions of the Tower of Babel, and it’s Sumerian mythological analogue. While it is a popular theory in some circles that the Tower of Babel was a focal point of Travelers, and it’s destruction the interference of a trans-worldline regulatory body; the similarity between it an Ela’adin’s own story are striking, there is no direct evidence, and we must refrain from conjecture.

11 Babel.png

Ela’adin’s time in our Worldline was spent in a Romanian Monastery where he spent his frustrated life unable to speak or communicate with anyone around him. His only language, written and spoken, were those of his birth; a language related to the Romance languages of our Europe, but so unlike as to be unintelligible.

He did ever, write; nearly everything he knew about the nature of the universe, and every possibly area of study, in hopes that one day, the knowledge he could grant would be of assistance to our relatively primitive Worldline. The book contains treatises on nearly every area of science and mathematics, far advanced past the age of it’s writing. It is a pity that his knowledge could not benefit the people of his final days, but it’s existence has done more than he imagined.

It took nearly five centuries to unlock his text; but now that we have unlocked it’s meaning;and have incontrovertible proof of Travel and the alternate Worldlines. With this keystone in place, nearly all the unexplainable and uncategorized phenomenon of ten thousand years falls beautifully into place.

The Assorted Artifacts

Many wonderful examples of Travel influence exist; artifacts that are far beyond their time, and art that depicts things that cannot be in a more conservative worldview. I will detail only a few, and guarantee to you that for every unexplainable object, Occam’s Razor can find a very simple answer; as long as you understand to totality of the Infinite Tapestry.

The Piri Ries Map

12 piri.jpg

In 1929, a group of historians found an amazing map drawn on a gazelle skin. Research showed that it was a genuine document drawn in 1513 by Piri Reis, a famous admiral of the Turkish fleet in the sixteenth century with a limitless passion for cartography.

The Piri Reis map shows the western coast of Africa, the eastern coast of South America, and the northern coast of Antarctica. The northern coastline of Antarctica is perfectly detailed. The most puzzling however is not so much how Piri Reis managed to draw such an accurate map of the Antarctic region 300 years before it was discovered, but that the map shows the coastline under the ice.

Geological evidence confirms that the latest date Queen Maud Land could have been charted in an ice-free state is 4000 BC.

In our new understanding, and with help from the Voynich Manuscript, we can now prove that Piri Reis was a Traveler of means and wealth who Traveled to our Worldline when he had mapped the totality of his own (one that existed in a slightly warmer condition). His parting gift to our worldine, was a map, that could not possibly be correct in our own.

The Baghdad Battery

13 battery.jpg

"In 1936, while excavating ruins of a 2000-year-old village near Baghdad, workers discovered mysterious small vase. A 6-inch-high pot of bright yellow clay dating back two millennia contained a cylinder of sheet-copper 5 inches by 1.5 inches. The edge of the copper cylinder was soldered with a 60-40 lead-tin alloy comparable to today's solder. The bottom of the cylinder was capped with a crimped-in copper disk and sealed with bitumen or asphalt. Another insulating layer of asphalt sealed the top and also held in place an iron rod suspended into the center of the copper cylinder. The rod showed evidence of having been corroded with an acidic agent.

German archaeologist , Wilhelm Konig, examined the object and came to a surprising conclusion that the clay pot was nothing less than an ancient electric battery."

We know that the Middle East of our Worldline was a hotbed for Travel two millennia ago, and by now it should come as no surprise to you when objects of this ilk are discovered.

Modern Travel

Travel still continues to this day, but while our own civilization has grown and become more bureaucratic, so have the many civilizations of the Travelers. When our leaders learned of the Travelers and there influence in the last few centuries, we did our best to regulate it, making sure we could benefit despite our unfortunate handicap.

Great stores of resources, coming from Worldlines that do not value gold or oil or diamonds have poured into our economy for centuries, and have shaped the rise and fall of empires. Technological advancement gifted or stolen from Worldlines that contact our own have influenced the rise and fall of empires for millennia, and to this very day.

Answers for Crypozoology’s Oldest Questions, or ‘Prison Planet’

By know you will have noticed that your mind is racing to fit the scattered puzzle pieces of unexplained phenomena into this new worldview. You will find yourself in the next few days finding elegant and wonderfully simple explanations for everything that defies logic in a traditional worldview. I will elucidate a few things we know now to be true:

Bigfoot

Bigfoot, and the Yeti, and it’s other cousins, the Almas, and the Kapre, just to name a few, undoubtedly exist. We have denied obvious physical evidence; photos, tracks, hair, droppings, and witness testimony for far to long, simply because we could not reconcile them with our outdated worldview. In a recent document, leaked from the Department of Defense, we can clearly say what these beings are:

15 document.jpg

In many Worldlines, the Neandertals were not eliminated by our own ancestors, they are in fact the dominant intelligent species. The developed similarly to us, although they would be quite alien in their culture in history. But like us they are a unique mix of beings. And they have criminals, just as we do.

The Neandertal civilizations very rarely Travel to our Worldline; for some reason they seem more keenly aware of it’s taint. They do however utilize our Worldline as a prison of sorts. As I said before, beings left to their own devices in our world will slowly acquire the unique property that makes Travel impossible. This makes our world an attractive dumping ground for all manner of unwanted matter and beings.

Many hundreds of Neandertal-descended criminals have been unceremoniously dumped on our world. For some, it is quite similar to their own, and their imprisonment is social; they can never integrate with us, as they certainly do not know any Cro-magnon descended languages, and they could never learn to speak them, with their grossly divergent physiology.

So they are left without a way to communicate, without tools, monsters in a familiar looking world. Sometimes these prisoners, especially those who are not anti-social or psychotic, have formed small colonies and families, eking out their existence as best they can on the edge of human civilization.

Some however, are imprisoned for a very good reason, and exist only to wreak havoc on our Worldline’s inhabitants. This explains the sometimes violent behavior described by eyewitnesses, and the frightening folktales that surround these creatures.

16 bigfoot.JPG

Other Examples
Throughout history there have been many unexplained animals that have shown up; with little connection to the local biomes or ecologies. The explanation for this is remarkably simple. Just as rats were spread across civilization by all means of human transport, many seemingly strange creatures have hitched rides on Traveling craft.

17 Chupa.jpg

The jersey devil, and the chupacabra, are simply small opportunistic predators that have been transported, probably unknowingly to our world by less responsible Travelers. Surely more small creatures have been deposited on our world thusly, but small herbivores and other creatures would be quickly exterminated before they could gain a foothold. It is only the clever and predatorial examples that survive, or carve out niches for themselves.

18 loch ness.jpg

Cryptozoology’s most famous creatures, the Loch Ness monster and it variants like the Ogopogo, are not however, remenants of Travel. They are simply well adapted dinosaurs, who have carved out a niche across millennia to our modern time. Sorry to disappoint.

The Unknown Observers

The sea holds mystery to us still, as we are unable to reveal it’s puzzles; and some unknown Travelers know this full well.

An ultra-low frequency underwater sound detected by the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration several times during the summer of 1997, one that could not have been made by any known animal. It has been strongly hinted that this noise, known as the Bloop came from an underwater observation platform, one that has been hinted at in many classified documents. It is believed that Travelers with a strong sense of non-interference have been studying our world, probably in short shifts to avoid the contamination of our particular Worldline.

19 Antenna.jpg

This theory has been given credence by the discovery of a strange formation, known as the Eltanin Antenna.

"Between 1962 and 1979 the NSF Polar Research Vessel Eltanin surveyed Antarctic waters, studying the ocean and ocean bottom. In 1964, the ship photographed an unusual object at a depth of 13,500 feet. At the time, there was no submarine that could have carried a piece of technology to this depth. The object appears to be a pole rising from the ocean floor with twelve spokes radiating from it, each ending in a sphere. The spokes are at fifteen degree angles to each other. It is located approximately 1,000 miles south of Cape Horn, beneath some of the most inhospitable seas in the world."

Clearly, this is evidence of technology beyond ours, and is further proof that we are not and will never be aware of all of the Travelers to our world or their intentions. We can only hope that they do not wish us harm; and take comfort in the fact that their very inaction seems to prove this.

The Conspiracy

You’ve made it this far. You’ve seen the proofs, seen the mysteries of the world fall elegantly in place, and seen a world that suddenly makes sense for all it’s outstanding strangeness.

Why, you ask, do I not know this already? Why is this not commonly accepted fact. The answer, is that there is a deliberate and systematic conspiracy, designed to keep this information from the general public, and it has existed in secret for centuries.

The reasoning is simple and twofold:

Resources and power

The most mundane reasoning for all conspiracies. The individuals in power that have know the truth, have benefited from it for centuries. Fortunes have been made trading in Traveled resources. Wars have been won with Traveler’s technology. Empires have been forged with all the knowledge and goods that an infinite amount of existences can provide.

The knowledge of the Infinite Tapestry has kept the wealthy and the powerful on their pedestals, and they would be, in their own view, fools to give it up. Their control on this knowledge is slipping day by day, and the very act of you reading this is the tiniest bit of erosion to their throne of lies.

Countless groups of conspirators across time have sighed in relief to see their shadowy cabals described in mundane, simple terms: world domination is their aim, as is the aim of all power hungry men; but their means have never even remotely been guessed at.

It is time for that to change. Spread the word, send the message that you know, and soon, all of mankind can benefit; if only from the Truth.

The Meaning of Life

As evil as this part of the conspiracy is, there is another part, come from misguided good. The churches of the world have long been allied with the governments and industries, and have long shared their power.

The Catholic Church in particular has long been vehement in suppressing all knowledge of the true nature of the world, for it goes against their very ideology, namely that humanity, and this world are special and unique.

We are not.

As citizens of a soon to be enlightened age, we must all come to grips with this. It will be hard.

Their fears are well founded; common knowledge of the true nature of the world will cause deep psychic wounds, as the Church has always predicted, and we must be prepared for them. But hiding from them only delays the inevitable.

Their will be consequences; we will see a sudden wave of depression and hopelesness. The Church has dubbed this long feared catostrophe: ‘The Great Meaninglessness’, and it is a very apt descriptor.

Millions will lose the will to carry on their daily life, to live at all when they come face to face with the most horrifying truth of Travel:

For every choice you make, there is a Worldline where that chose is different, or not made at all. For everything good or bad that happens to you, there is a Worldline where the reverse is true.

In short, it is a small jump to infer that it does not matter what you do. If you kill yourself, you live on in an infinite number of Worldlines. If you commit a horrible crime, it does not happen in an infinite number of Worldlines.

If everything you do or could possibly do happens elsewhere, then is there truly free will? Is the world not truly preordained, with everything happening everywhere? What then is the purpose to life?

I cannot tell you. I can only tell you that I long ago faced this fear, and I have come to grips with it. It matters not what some doppelganger of myself does, I am myself. I am the only myself that I will ever be. I can choose freely, and the knowledge of other existences does not change that.

And when you have come to terms with the truth, you’ll see what a poor substitute ignorance and dogma is.

Let us embrace this darkness now and pass through it; show the people of power that we need no shepherds, that the truth can wound, but we will not allow it to kill.

The truth can do no harm, except when it is kept from us. Spread the word.

Thirst for knowledge. Live your life. It is a far more beautiful World than you could ever imagine.

Let us revel in it, and not shrink in fear. Let us live in the light of the truth, from this day forward. Thank you, and good luck.

a brief explanation of insanity
posted by Cameron on October 3rd, 2006 12:38 AM

I felt the need to make a bit of a meta comment on this, but not in the text itself.

This is sort of an ode to the fractured conspiracy theories I've always loved. It's rambling, frequently incoherent, misuses supporting evidence and words, makes absurd claims with out any hubris, proves that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, and generally is insane. I tried to ape the style and flaws of conspiracy theorists the best I could, without being obviously satirical or derisive, and I hope that came across.

My method of creation was to coallate all the wierdest phenomena factoids I knew of into one absurd narrative. My only rules were:

- To provide supporting documents that are themselves... mostly truthful

(click on some of the 40+ links, most of the pieces of the puzzle are very real and very interesting, particularly the Voynich Manuscript, which was the heart of the proof.)

- To not use any pre-existing conspiracy rubrics: No tradtional UFOs or Illuminati, etc. Everything had to be brand new.

The clever reader might notice that I stole a large portion of my conclusion from Larry Niven. Oh well. It was unavoidable.

I kind of feel like this is the sort of task that maybe 3 people will read all the way through, becuase, frankly, it's completly absurd. But I really had a blast writing it. And since maybe one of those three people who read it will read this, let me just take the opportunity to say this:

In kindergarten, I was totally the kid who let the class guinea pig go, and then he got run over by a car. Please don't tell anyone.
