INSTRUCTIONS: Tell or read a story to an animal. Document the animal's reaction to your storytelling skills.

I decided to tell a story to my cat, Chewbacca. I told a story of two sisters who lived in a far off land. They were princesses, and the King told them they had to get married. The good sister, Dora, got the shy, retiring, non-talkative Chewbacca, but the evil sister got the most eligible bachelor in the country. Evil sister ended up dead, good sister ended up happy and sovereign. It was much more fleshed out, but that's the gist.

At first he was curious why I was talking and taking pictures. Then he was bored enough to pretend he didn't care. but he didn't ever get off the chair. When I said his name, he bit me on the nose. I don't know if that was a reaction to my storytelling; or just a general, hey, mom, why are you saying my name?

In the end, he was pretty much in the same place that he was when I started. And he didn't seem any worse for the wear. So I think he liked it okay.

I hope that he sleeps better having that story.

Going for the nose again. I don't speak when he's chewing on my nose because he's chewed on my lip and stuck his tongue on my tongue when I do that. Not so much in to frenching the cat.
