Language "Encryption" by Bill

August 20th, 2006 12:18 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Using online translation tools, "encrypt" some text (that you write or find) by translating it multiple times into different languages and then back into English.

For instance, "The drive to play San Francisco Zero" translated from English to German to French to Italian to English again becomes "The order of Saint game Francisco".

I spent the day with s4xton running around geocaching and we ended up starting an SF0 task near my house on a whim. Why not have a little fun with the text during another task leading up to the main event, right?

Text:

English to German:

I can't believe I'm spending my time this afternoon writing stuff in Babel Fish just so that I can post a bunch of photos I took of grass growing around concrete.

English result:

I cannot believe that it spends my time this afternoon letter of material in the Confusion fish, can therefore just announce it a package to the photographies that I have taken grass that raises itself around the concrete.

Strangely enough this sounds like the many times I have laid in the lawn and thought about the lawn growing up around everything around me. Maybe I event saw it happen, who knows ;)
