Go Camping by Bill

Ahh camping, one of my favorite things to do going way back! My parents weren't campers -- my mother was especially against the notion of "spending vacation swatting flies, flipping burgers, and sweating in a tent" yet she would pay good money to spend three days at the Jersey Shore every summer. Crazy.
Anyway, I was lucky enough to marry a woman who was willing to share (even if it was somewhat half-assed) my passion for camping. One of our first big adventures together was spending a weekend camping at Hookahville in Ohio. It rained and rained and rained and caused quite a much to arise. A friend lost his shoes in the mud and spent the rest of the weekend barefoot. He was like a true long, lost, hippy!
Anyway, soon after that adventure we started camping frequently. Our first campout, at a campground, took place at Maumee Bay State Park in Ohio. It's important to me because it's the first time you notice that I'm getting fat -- now one of my signature trademarks ;)
We spent the weekend playing cards, cooking food, and sitting around the campfire w/friends. It was a blast and something we have enjoyed for years since.
