Contents of a Character's Wallet by Glenda Agendacide

January 29th, 2007 3:01 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: In Jack Finney's short story, "Contents of a Dead Man's Pocket", the character - clinging to the side of a building - imagines what the world will think of him if they only have the contents of his pockets to consider.

Empty your pockets, your wallet, your purse out onto a table- tally the contents and tell us what the world would think of you, if they had only those effects to consider. Then, decide upon one thing to add to the contents of your pockets, your wallet, or your purse, which will better enunciate the truth of your person to the world.

Video and photographs of all items contained within purse are below.

1 receipt to grocery store
2 bank receipts
1 convenience store receipt
1 State of California interim driver's license

WHAT COULD BE INFERRED FROM THE PRECEEDING:
- I am drowning in lip gloss.
- I spend most of my money on Lemon-Lime Gatorade.
- I am new to California, having just left New York.
- I carry very little cash and have too many bank accounts.

I believe that none of these things are true.

ONE THING TO ADD, AND WHY:
I randomly found a Gloria Estefan poker chip in my luggage once. I didn't go to Vegas. I carry it around to keep a sense of humor and to remind myself to embrace strange events and happenings that find their way to you. Pictures below. It would either be this, or a socket wrench, but that would add weight to what I'm carrying around all the time.

Very thorough.

Also, Gloria Estefan? Really? Weird. Its also strange that it has a sequence number on it.

It's a limited-edition Estefan chip!

That's my guess.

Glenda, rock on the video. Since you're getting back into the game, I'm thinking maybe we should plan a day some weekend (maybe late February or mid-to-late March?) to do what Avidd Opolis once called a "raid" based off the MMO term for getting people together in one place to accomplish bigger things. Except in SF0 terms it means going out with other players to do lots of tasks.

Also, dumbass, you saw how I got busted by the cops for still having Illinois plates and license back a year and a half ago. Could my example not have taught you? :(
