Renew An Old Correspondence by Glenda Agendacide

April 27th, 2006 4:36 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Write a letter to someone that you or your character has not heard from in a long time.

Chris was the Vice President of my division at my first, real, bonafide job out of college. He's really awesome. I consider him a mentor of sorts, and I considered him my father-of-sorts during work hours.

I worked ENTIRELY TOO MUCH in those days, mainly because I was so grateful for someone taking a chance on me. The first Internet bubble was about to pop, and I was just a kid out of school.

Haven't seen him since I moved to California about 3 years ago. He's a very busy guy obviously, so I thought I would send him a short note.

My proof is slightly doctored for identity purposes, but you get the point.

Hi Chris!

Life is turning out well for me here. Not sure if you're coming to the Bay anytime soon, but I'd love to catch up and say hello if you have the chance. :)

Hope all is well with you, your wife, and the two bambinos. Baseball's in the air... will they grow up to be BoSox fans or Yankee fans?

Take care!

Glenda :)

Hi Glenda:

I have one of each, a sox fan and a yankee fan at this point... Anything to keep the confrontation up.

In sf sometime in May + will let you know. How's agendacide... Will I be afraid?

Hope all is well!

That's kinda neat that my old boss still reads my blog to catch up with me. :)
