"Rolls Royce Phantom leather" sounds pretty classy
... for depimping. And for Kid A getting drunk and then sfzeroing. It's happened once before.
Hey now, I think I landed on my feet both times....I think.
In my defence, I destroyed a perfectly good Rolls Royce Phantom backboard leather in a very rare colour, worth hundreds, if not thousands of pounds, to make a saddle for a £25 bike. Surely thats in the nature of the real pimp my ride? Adding unreasonably expensive parts to a shitheap of a car?
I understand your statement. My concerns come from removing the classic pimp style chrome fenders, the chain guard, and the paint flair. The purple velour seat cover almost looks more pimp like then the new leather, to the average public.
To 'Pimp' something isn't neccesarily to spend alot of money on it, it's to make something LOOK like you spent alot of money on it. It's all about flair and attention. The more random shit you can shove on it and coat in chrome, gold, or platinum, the better. You want people to look and know you spent alot of money on it, even if they are chuckling at you at the same time.
Vote for being able to at once pimp and de-pimp your ride.
Even though it doesn't look as shmancy in the after picture, it looks shweet!
Vote for minimalist-pimp. And for the leather bit.
vote for turning the bike into something i would ride. is nice.
I'm actually upset now. At first read (Three whiskeys and several beers into my night) I thought the first picture was the after picture. That, was worth a vote to me. Upon second read, it seems you stripped all the 'pimp' from the bike. You completely 'depimped' the bike. Shame. Shame.
I wish I could unvote hours later.
Alas.
