Slow Motion Minutes by scott malthouse

January 28th, 2008 1:52 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Take a few minutes out of every hour for one day to do everything in slow motion.

Slow Motion Minutes (28th February 2008)

[6:55am] Absolutely no sleep last night so I thought that I may aswell start my slow motion day at 7:00am

Funnily enough I've just started back at university today so I thought it would be interesting to be slow at uni rather than just playing it safe and slow-mo-ing my weekend when I wouldn't be doing much anyway.

[7:00am] So it begins, my first few minutes of slow motion, on the hour, every hour. I moved down the stairs as if I was wading through mud, it seemed to take forever, especially because I live in a house with three starcases.

[8:00am] Sliding my clothes on slooowly. It's already starting to get irritating, mostly because I'm used to going fast, I'm a fast walker and generally speedy at carrying out actions.

[9:00am] Walking to uni with the guys, well, I'm lagging behind for a minute. They round the bend at the end of the street before I pass the first house. What's worse is that I'm late.

[10:00am] Half way through News Writing class, I'm not too happy about having to do an assessment in slo-mo, tapping away at the keys like my fingers were in tar.

[11-1pm] More classes and more slowness. The day is dragging. Isn't it strange that a slow minute out of every hour can have so much of an impact on life?

[2:00pm] Lunch is eaten slooowly. I'm not able to catch the BBQ sauce in time.

[3:00pm] The house sets ablaze and I'm trapped. Kidding. Nothing much, but it's really getting old.

The rest of the day passed really really slowly. I think my friends were sick of me running downstairs in slo-mo, even slowing my voice down when I talk to them.

 Glad it's over.
