Interface Creation by Salty Pete

July 28th, 2006 1:21 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Create or implement an interface to use/navigate data of interest. Preference is given to less-standard or typical interfaces.

I've been wanting to post information about tasks I'm working on and have slightly more directed discussion capability... Towards that end, I added an sf0 specific discussion board to my website.

http://www.spiralsix.com/sf0/forum/

Hopefully this will facilitate more discussion and collaboration.

(If, at some future point, the designers of sf0 end up adding this kind of capability to the sf0 site, I will re-do this task in another manner.)

(I am not completely sure that this is quite worth 40 points so I added an article to the discussion board that shows people how to add sf0 to your google home page. Between the two, I feel relatively confident that I've done enough.)

A public message board? Brilliant!

I was wondering...

I was wondering why this garnered very little interest so far. Apparently there _is_ an sf0 discussion board out there, I was just unaware of it's existence as it seems to be operating on an invite only status and was created by Rubin Starset.

That said, I wonder what's up with Rubin's comment below. "Shame... ....I'm not part of EZ."

Rubin, why is this a shame? Please elaborate.

I think he's *wink wink* saying that he's done this task already but can't get credit for it because he's not a part of EZ. Maybe the two of you can collaborate on a public board?

Not looking for credit.

No wait. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ANY OF YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT, PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE MAN BEHIND THE SERVER.

Apparently, I'm 18 or so versions behind current. Somone logged in and put HTML in the description of a forum... Not a super big deal, but whatev.

I fixed the problem, but am going to shut the forums down until i figure out how to install the new version.

I guess thats what I get for leaving things open. I wonder how anyone found it... it's not like I advertise ...

Back up...

Hey all, the boards got hacked and I didn't have the ability to fix them... So I destroyed it all and started from scratch. So, the boards are empty, but they are back. Also, you'll have to make your accounts again. Sorry.
