Arrr! Talk Like a Pirate Day is pretty much my favorite holiday.... I invited some friends down to a local bar for TLPD merriment. I was one of the only ones in costume, but it was still great fun. The bartender had prepared a menu of piratical drink specials, we had live music, and much skulldeggery. I even convinced him to fly the jolly roger.

Even though it was later than I expected, I convinced Wilhelm Fink to come with me across the bay to see if the TLPD Party at Piratey Monkey's was still goind on... The pirates there were well into their cups by the time we arrived, but we were greeted warmly by ConorPotPie who showed us the lay of the land and made sure we had appropriate libations. The hostess Monkey even made an appearance, though she was pretty floppy by that time.

Eventually, I hailed a cab and headed back to my ship. The driver, though a bit concerned about my swords at first, was a good sport.

It was a most exccellent way to finish up TLPD....

PS: Did you know that there is such a thing as Pirate Porn? Well, apparently so... Um Rubin, I think I could have gone to my grave without seeing that.
