I work 1.) at a bank, and 2.) at a neighborhood gym. The bank is by far the weirder of the two just based on the shear lunacy of the product, but at the gym, I just had a guy come in and proposition to sell "one of my Columbia outerware thermal gloves" for train fare into downtown. I told the guy that he could probably keep his pair, work off some calories, AND get fresh air by walking downtown. He argued that it would take too long, but I suggested to him that time was actually on his side this morning; My reasoning being that he obviously didn't have a job to get to.
