The Beautiful Letter by Hootsky Trootsky
October 6th, 2006 11:37 AMSo, here is my little love note from one Schwinn to another. The recipient bicycle lives at a bike rack near my house and belongs to an unknown gentleman. When I went to deliver my note, it wasn't at home, so I had to track it down in other locations that I recalled seeing it. Lucky for me, it was parked at the train station.

YAAAAAYYY!!
unfortunately i have no votes.. sorry
I don't usually go for romantic, but that's swoony.
I had a vintage yellow Schwinn Olympia, named Mercury, whom I purchased from a grey haired man for $12. When I puchased it, he told me it had at one time been his mother's, and she'd riden it to and from work. It was a very sweet bike, and had a ladie's crossbar, spoiling me forever.
Bike love.
strangely beautiful, it makes my existential romantic side go all wobbly.
Once we were having a garage sale and we didn't notice someone stealing my dad's bike, and leaving an old schwinn in it's place. About two years ago, after it had been sitting in the garage for about 5 years I took it out and painted it, and brought it to Burning Man, where it was very happy. Now it lives in my garage and needs a new chain, but is very much loved.
Perhaps they stole your schwinn, rode to my parents house, and traded up!
I can't wait to see if you.. er, your bike... gets an answer!
Ja, I've been trying to make my bike as conspicuous as possible around the hood. Also, singing loud backup vocals and doing other behaviors that might suggest to my neighbors that I be the type to leave notes and suchwhat.
The 'Circle: Yes No' bit is classic.
