Player Portrait by Adam

January 1st, 2008 9:49 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Paint a fellow player - we'd really prefer that you use their player photo as your model, though. Any medium/style, but let us know what you end up doing with it.

My artistic skills are often described as laclusture or poor, especially by my GCSE Art teacher, as a matter of fact I actually recieved a D in my Art exam so looking through the Praxis I thought I would at least attempt to make my portraits represent these people. I do like to draw I just fear Im bad at it.

I chose the Player Photos of the three other major GY0 players and then I took my little revision notebook and a black biro and made some crude sketches in a kind of cartoon style. Ben's I am quite proud of and Tom's isn't atrocious but I feel that Daryl's is a travesty against the name of art.

In this era I hope to try out one task from each of the different SF0 groups, UofA isn't for me as I don't consider myself creative or particually well endowed artistically, although I do fancy myself as a photographer.

Daryl IS a travesty in the name of art.

The drawing of him is great though. Really brings out his vertical lines.
