INSTRUCTIONS: Obsessively collect something for no less than one month.

Document your collection and its growth.

I have been collecting train tickets for 2 months now and I am seriously suprised by how many tickets I have managed to collect. I have amassed 47 tickets although these do not equal 47 journeys as each journey involves 2 tickets, return and outward and also some of them are reciepts or travelcards for London. Most of the tickets are from Great Yarmouth to Norwich (£3.90) and also Norwich to London (£27.05). There are also tickets to Durham, Bookham, Ipswich, Lowestoft, Cromer, Peterborough and Reedham. It has made a sizeable pile of them which I have been carrying around in my railcard wallet. I did also have 10 tickets in the wallet as a bit of a beggining to my task so I added these to the collection but they are all from February.

Train tickets have always fascinated me, I love them, absolutly love them. Each tickets represents a destenation and somewhere to go, each ticket tells me I've done something that I love. Travel by rail. Each ticket was bought at a station. The tickets are a design classic, in my opinion, their orange and green and yellow with the little white logo always excites me, that odd black, font and the way things are written in order.

Of course, throwing them in the air and rolling around in them does not produce quite the same excitement as Lincoln experienced so I don't think I'll be doing that. It would just make a mess.

You could make a collage! I did that with my collection of misappropriated tickets from Tokyo, it's fun:)

CHEAP DAY RTN could be the title of a movie.

Cheap Day RTN is the bane of my life. You cannot get them before 10am and it means I have to wait for the 10:17 train to get out for £3.90, if not it is £7.40

If Cheap Day RTN is a movie then would STD from Peterborough be a sex education tape?

are you still collecting them? i would love to see a few continual updates on this, as the piles get larger and larger. and i'm with flitworth in thinking that many tickets could possibly make something pretty cool, collage or otherwise.

I am still collecting them in a sense that I'm still going on trains. As for something creative they now adorn my bedroom wall. Not all of them are there because some are in a collage and some were donated to my friend for her art coursework.

It's been a month since this was submitted so I would say I've obtained about 10 or 15 more tickets.
