Footwear Documentation by Adam

January 12th, 2008 4:27 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Document footwear on public transportation.

My hunting ground for this task was Norwich Bus Station. It is a very new building and is only about a year old. We arrived on the X1 coach which arrived at around 2:15pm. It goes onwards to Peterborough and it left us on the outside of the gate when it arrived so we were trapped between the coach and the gate. I always feel quite impressed when I get here because there are lots of electronic displays, glass screens and clean bits unlike our local bus station which is highly ugly.

Tom suggested to me that it would be a good place to do it and I agreed. I tried to take some covert images of people's feet but it is difficult because you can't see their face to see if their looking at you. We spotted mainly trainers and work shoes but also baby shoes. I know task said "on public transport" and trust me, I tried, but the problem is that the bus was too dark and none of my photos were coming out so I basically just ended up with about 10 photos of blur and a few flashes of light as opposed to people's shoes, I thought the bus station pretty much qualified as public transport.

How can you vote for baby shoes when you can't even see them?
