Hey You Haiku by Shan

November 16th, 2007 10:26 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: This requires a bit of free time to people watch.
Oh, haiku are 5/7/5, by the way. They are usually about nature and simplicity.

1. Spend time in a public place like a park or parking lot
2. Pick an individual you notice
3. Write a haiku about them or for them on a sticky note
4. Stick it to their car/dog/shopping cart
5. Maintain invisibilty throughout this task

My co-conspirator's was slightly more benign and less paranoia-inducing ("Your hair is so tall / how did you get it like that? / Feather-dust the sky!"), but we'd only seen the subject of that one walking across the parking lot while we were eating lunch, and there was no way to know where she'd parked her car.

So I staked out the library next door and wrote this for a patron.
