Pants Observation Exercise by Jason 7au

April 22nd, 2007 8:40 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Take a photo of a stranger's pants.

I wasn't intending to do this task. I'm trying to get through this era by doing tasks approximate to my level, and now that I'm level 3, doing a level 1 task goes against that. But... I was at an art opening for the magazine I work for, and... there was just all these people wearing pants there!

I think one woman caught me taking pants pictures and gave me the look. The Drive is stronger than The Look, though.

I'm concerned that players are doing "tasks that are appropriate for their level." I like to think that as you progress, you find ways to make lower level tasks come out as if they were higher level tasks. I've got 15 pointers that are taking me hours and hours to do (one I've been doing since last year). So if you really feel this way, maybe you should find the way of observing pants which expresses your higher level. If you really really feel this way, I'll be happy to flag your lousy pants observation for the big red x until you do it right! If that will make you happy.
Would that make you happy?

I think I can live with being unhappy in this case.

What really happened is that me and some other players had plans to congregate today for task-doing, and it fell through, so expecting some satisfaction of task completion and being denied, I got twitchy.

If you do decide to flag this in an attempt at enhancing my happiness, you're setting a precedent on your campaign trail, you know. Just sayin'.

Smileys may be gauche, but they are still a good way of revealing intent. :) ;) :D
